Read books written by successful people always inspire me to be one of them. The last book I read was the CEO Succession by Dennis C Carey. In my opinion, the book is very good as it is shows how to put the key of essential elements in the succession agenda.
The books also shows how to put through a culture of self renewing succession that will develop the leadership in all managements levels; how to maintain the CEO on track by make a healthy relationship between the CEO and the Board, and bench mark CEO internal candidates.
The author of the book, Denis C Carey, shares his stories and personal interviews with his own experience when he was working with different CEO’s and directors of the many leading companies. He also shares the techniques of creating a transparent and systematic planning process that will promote an unseamed transition of leadership at any level of the managements. The book also describes the up-close look of different companies.
